The Shimano TLD II A is a powerful 2-speed lever-drag multiplier designed for serious saltwater fishing and hard-fighting gamefish. Built around a lightweight, corrosion-resistant graphite composite frame, it combines high line capacity with a strong, dependable drag system for demanding offshore applications.
The 2-speed gearing allows anglers to switch between a higher gear for efficient line retrieval and a lower gear for increased cranking power during heavy fights. Stainless steel gearing, an aluminium spool and Shimano A-RB corrosion-resistant bearings provide the durability and smooth operation required for repeated saltwater use. Shimano particularly positions the larger TLD II models for trolling powerful offshore fish, while the range is also suitable for bottom fishing.
