The RCTB76XXH is a great rail rod for tuna fishing, whether you’re jigging at night for bluefin or using bait on the long range trips for big yellowfin. They’re rated 50 – 130lb so you have a lot of range to work with but they are best fished at 100lb with a heavier frame reel like a Makaira 20 or Avet EXW 30/2. These rods feature heavy Alps HXN zirconium insert guides and a very durable cold shrink grip with a base layer of cork tape to protect the blank.
