Temple Reef has rebuilt the Levitate with every generation since the series launched in 2015, and the 2026 Levitate X Nabla is the newest of them. It pairs a third-generation Nabla handle with Temple Reef’s blank technology, and for the first time the range reaches past 500g: two new short, heavy models are rated for jigs up to 600g and 700g.
The Nabla handle is the core of the update. It is lighter, slimmer and stiffer than the version before it, so more of the stroke goes into the jig instead of into the grip, and a long day of pitching wears you down less. A Fuji DPS20 graphite reel seat and a CNC-machined aluminum butt cap finish the rear end.
Fuji Titanium Torzite guides run in Temple Reef’s Neutral Spiral System. The spiral layout cuts down on rod twist under load, keeps the rod balanced in the hand and helps the line track back onto a conventional reel. Temple Reef’s Direct Sensitivity System (DSS) bonds carbon fiber arbor material straight to the blank, so the light taps of a fish picking up a falling jig come through clearly.
Every model is a two-piece butt joint build. It breaks down for travel and storage but fishes like a one-piece rod.
Power 4 and Power 5 are built for deep water. The shorter length gives you more leverage over a heavy jig and a fish pulling from far below the boat, with less fatigue across a full day. The longer Power 2 and Power 3 cover the lighter jigs and more moderate depths.
Temple Reef builds the Levitate X Nabla for amberjack, grouper, snapper, tuna, yellowtail and deep-water reef species. On the offshore banks, that range runs from a 150g jig on the Power 2 to a 700g jig on the Power 5 Deep.
